Manage Your ParentSquare Notifications to Fit Your Day

Posted Date: 12/31/25 (11:56 AM)

Hello Families,

We’ve had several families ask how they can reduce non-emergency messages during the school day when they’re at work or busy, and we completely understand! We want you to stay informed about important updates, school events, and district highlights without feeling overwhelmed.

The good news is that ParentSquare allows parents, students, and staff to customize notification settings. You can choose to receive non-urgent posts in a single nightly digest, grouping messages together for easy viewing, rather than receiving them throughout the day. Emergency and time-sensitive alerts will still come through immediately.

🎥 Watch this quick 2-minute ParentSquare video to see how to adjust your settings or follow the steps outlined below:

Update Your Notification Settings (Web Browser)

  1. From Home, click your name and select Manage Account
  2. Click Notification Settings
  3. Choose how you want to receive General Announcements & Messages (Email, Text, or App) and select Instant or Digest
  4. Set School Alerts to On or Off
  5. Save your preferences
Tip: If you have multiple emails or phone numbers listed, you can set the order of preferred contacts. Notifications will be sent to one email and one phone.

Update Your Notification Settings (Mobile App)

  1. From the home screen, tap the three-line menu (top left)
  2. Select Account, then Notifications
  3. Choose how you want to be notified for each school
    • Turn Custom Settings OFF to use the same settings for all schools
    • Turn Custom Settings ON to customize by school
  4. Toggle Email, Text, and/or App notifications
  5. Select Instant or Digest

Once updated, future messages will follow your preferences.

Thank you for staying connected and engaged with our schools; we appreciate our partnership with families and our community.
